Frequently Asked QuestionsHere are the answers to some frequently asked questions, which we hope will be of help to you. Q: How much does a stairlift cost? A: All stairlifts are tailored to suit the customers' needs and prices will, therefore, differ depending on the stair dimensions and options selected. Once we have assessed your needs, by taking a survey, we will make a recommendation on what we feel is the right product for you. There will be no hard sell – it's not how we work at Advanced – and there is no obligation to buy from us. Q: Is the stairlift attached to the walls or the stairs? A: The rail/track is attached to the treads of the stairs, not the walls. Q: What about narrow stairs, can you still fit a stairlift? A: All units have a compact carriage, along with folding arms, seat and footrest so narrow stairs are not a problem. Q: Do I have to pay for a survey or a quotation? A: No. We offer free advice and support as well as a no obligation survey and quotation. Q: Do I have to buy from Advanced after a sales visit or survey? A: Only if you are happy with the advice, the service and the costs we have provided. Q: What warranty do I get with a stairlift? A: New stairlifts vary from 12 months to 36 months, depending on the manufacturer. Q: What about reconditioned/second hand stairlifts, do they come with a warranty? A: Reconditioned units come with a 12 month guarantee, from Advanced. Q: Do you offer extended service warranties? A: Yes we do. We offer 'after market' warranties for both Advanced and non-Advanced Systems. Q: What type of warranties do you offer? A: There are 3 types: PSC1 for annual service only; PSC2 for annual service, breakdowns and labour; and PSC3 for annual service, breakdowns, labour and parts. |
